Wheelhouse

Wheelhouse is a unique and characterful holiday cottage with an interesting link to the farm’s history. During the renovation of the building, a perfect circle was discovered in the floor where animals once turned the machinery, giving the cottage both its name and its slightly wider layout compared to the other cottages. The cottage is entered through the well-equipped kitchen, which features a practical tiled floor and includes the same modern appliances found throughout the other cottages. A convenient serving hatch connects the kitchen directly to the dining room, creating an easy and sociable flow between the spaces. The spacious living area benefits from high ceilings, adding to the airy and comfortable feel of the cottage. Ceiling fans help keep the space cool during the warmer months, while an electric fire provides a cosy atmosphere during winter stays. Wheelhouse comfortably sleeps up to six guests, making it ideal for families or groups looking to explore the stunning Yorkshire coastline and nearby Robin Hood's Bay. Heating is provided by a night storage heater, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay throughout the year. The cottage was awarded a four-star grading by the English Tourist Board in 2006, reflecting its quality, comfort, and welcoming atmosphere.
